בית הספר הבינלאומי בכפר הירוק
EMIS בית הספר הבינלאומי בכפר הירוק – “בית הספר לשינוי” נוסד בשנת 2014 כבית הספר התיכון הבינלאומי הראשון בישראל. מאז לומדים כאן, באנגלית, בתנאי פנימיה ולימודי חוץ, סטודנטים מכל העולם. .EMIS הינו בית ספר ייחודי המציע תוכנית בינלאומית יוקרתית, המוקדש למשימה של שימוש בחינוך ככלי לשינוי, קידום הדיאלוג, וכבוד לסביבה גלובלית ורב תרבותית במזרח התיכון.
התלמידים שלנו
תלמידי כיתות י ‘עד י”ב, בני 16-18, המגיעים מ -50 מדינות שונות בעולם. אוכלוסיית התלמידים כוללת תלמידים מקומיים, מהאזור ותלמידים בינלאומיים, מה שהופך את החוויה הלימודית לחוויה בינלאומית אמיתית. מלגות נדיבות מוצעות לתלמידים בהתאם למצב סוציואקונומי ובכפוף להחלטת בית הספר.
מיקום
EMIS ממוקם בכפר הירוק והינו חלק מהקמפוס המציע סביבה לימודית בטוחה ועשירה במתקני חינוך, ספורט ואומנות אשר לכל תלמידי אמיס יש גישה ישירה אליהם.
תוכניות הלימוד
באמצעות חוויה חינוכית וחברתית משותפת, תוכנית בית הספר מחנכת לערכים של כבוד, ייזמות ואזרחות גלובלית. התלמידים שלנו, בין אם מקומיים ובין אם בינלאומיים, יכולים לבחור להצטרף ל- EMIS בכיתה י ‘, לתכנית Pre-IB , בתקווה לעבור לתכנית IB לכיתות י”א-י”ב, או להגיש בקשה ישירה לתכנית IB ולהתחיל אותה בכיתה י”א.
כל התלמידים משתתפים בתוכניות חוץ-קהילתיות ופנים-קהילתיות המוסיפות מגוון מעשיר של פעילויות אישיות, על מנת לטפח כישורי מנהיגות אישית ותחושת אחריות חברתית. התלמידים לוקחים חלק במגוון פעילויות בתחומים של התנדבות בקהילה, הבנה של נושאים גלובליים ופעילויות ספורט ואומנות.
במסגרת הלימודים התלמידים מעורבים ומובילים פרויקטים ומסעות לחיזוק הבנתם של האזור ובכך הופכים את אמיס לפרוייקט יוצא דופן, המחנך ומסייע לתלמידים לפתח מודעות ולצמוח לתפקידי מנהיגות בישראל, במדינות האזור וביתר מדינות המוצא שלהם.
Pre-DP
Pre-DP הינה תוכנית לכיתה י’ מועשרת בקורסים המותאמים במיוחד להכשרת תלמידים לתכנית IB. כל קורס מתבצע בכיתה המעודד חשיבה ביקורתית, הבנה משמעותית וניתוח ברוח תוכנית הIB.
התלמידים נדרשים לקבל ציון מינימלי “עובר” בכל מקצוע על מנת להמשיך לכיתה י”א, ולהוכיח מעורבות והתנהגות הולמת לרוח בית הספר.
IB – International Baccalaureate
תלמידי תוכנית ה- IB בוחרים קורס אחד מכל אחת משש קבוצות אקדמיות. שתי שפות, מדעי הרוח, מדעים, מתמטיקה ואמנות. שלושה קורסים נלמדים ברמה הסטנדרטית (150 שעות) ושלושה ברמה גבוהה (240 שעות). סטודנטים לומדים ונבחנים באנגלית. בנוסף, כל התלמידים משלימים קורס בתיאוריה של ידע וכותבים מאמר מורחב, 4000 מילים, עבודת תיזה בנושא לפי בחירתם. כמו כן נדרשים התלמידים להשתתף בתכנית “יצירתיות, פעילות ושירות” (CAS) המאפשרת לכל התלמידים לקחת חלק בתחומי העניין שלהם, כגון אמנות, אתלטיקה והתנדבות בקהילה.

EMIS Application
Your application will be done via the Internet at: EMIS Online registration
Once you fill up your application form and complete the application fee, consultation and interviews will be arranged by the Admissions Committee via the Internet.
• Have been born in years 2008 or 2009, currently in 10th or 11th grade for IB program or 9th grade, 2010 for Pre-DP program, upon application. Must be 15, 16 or 17 years old during 2025.
• Be very good students, able to be independent learners and thinkers, and be able to study in English the high-level academic material of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma (www.ibo.org) or the Pre-IB program
• Have good spoken and written English (a strong advantage)
• Have demonstrated significant community involvement or leadership activity
• Be curious, and excited about learning in a different environment; open to new experiences, cultures and people, able to practice tolerance through living and sharing with peers from different cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds
Early Bird Round: If you submit your application by December 1st, you will receive a final decision from the admissions committee by December 15th.
Regular Round: If you submit your application by March 1st, you will receive a final decision from the admissions committee by April 15th.
Final Round: If you submit your application by June 1st, you will receive a final decision from the admissions committee by June 1st.

The full-year tuition for IB (full boarding) is $25,000.
For those who cannot afford full tuition, we offer 5 levels of scholarships, which you can choose on the first page of the application form. We do not offer full scholarships.

Tuition for a day school program:

The scholarship offered by the school will cover:
• Tuition
• Boarding expenses (Dormitory, meals, ect.)
• Exam fees
• Annual trip
• Off campus curricular/school excursions
Additional anticipated costs not covered by the scholarship:
• Travel to and from the school, including travel (if any) during all breaks and local holidays. During the summer holiday, the boarding house will be closed, during the other holidays the boarding house remains open and staff remains on duty
• Annual health Insurance fee – $1300
• Notebooks and School Supplies
• Pocket money
• Visa fees $110
• $300 art supplies for art students
20% of 1st year parental payment should be paid as down-payment within two weeks upon receiving the EMIS offer.
Cancellation prior to school start date:
• Within 30 days of acceptance and no later than June 1st, 2025 – full down-payment refund.
• Between June 1st and July 1st, 2025 – 50% of down-payment and refund.
• After July 1st – no down-payment refund.
Cancellation by student or by the school after school start date:
• Before winter break 2025 – 50% of tuition refund plus proportional medical insurance refund.
• After winter break – no tuition refund and proportional medical insurance refund.
EMIS Curriculum
Our mission is “to use education as a tool for change, promoting universal values, and respecting a global and multicultural environment in the Middle East”. Our academic curriculum follows the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program, and the EMIS experience teaches diversity, dialogue, and respect for the environment. ”, EMIS provides its students an insight into the situation in the Middle East as well as the latest approaches towards a sustainable future development through “ESP” – Entrepreneurship – Sustainability – Peace Program.
EMIS provides Grade 10 students with the Pre-DP program and Grade 11 and 12 students with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program.
Grade 10 Pre-IB class will move to IB at grade 11, unless they will not get an average of C and above. In this case, they will have the option to redo Pre-IB.
EMIS Life
Our student body comprises students from the Eastern Mediterranean and the Middle Eastern regions, along with students from all over the world with more than 45 nationalities.
At EMIS, there are over 40 clubs with various types and missions! Therefore, students have countless opportunities to learn from first-hand experience as they get themselves immersed in the diversity with their peers who own the same passion! Students can either join or establish a new club to build up a diverse community.
To assist students, provide them with more opportunities and especially ensure that voices are heard, EMIS has 70 student committees independently led by students including:
• Boarding House Committee: Manage issues concerning boarding life
• Academic Committee: Assist students with personal advice on academics; receive and submit complaints regarding academic issues
• Local Engagement Committee: Provide information regarding local events (Events in Tel Aviv; events in Israel; …) so that international students from EMIS could get more engaged with the local community.
• Cultural Diversity Committee: Promote cultural diversity at EMIS by organizing events with unique cultural traditions from all 6 continents.
• Global Issues Committee: Create a platform of discussion for EMIS students regarding Global news and events
– Finance Committee: Work with school sponsors and attribute budget for clubs at EMIS under formal training
• Marketing Committee: Regulate and organize marketing projects for EMIS under formal training
