Humans of EMIS
Humans of EMIS is a documentary that tells the perspectives of 8 young students who belong to a unique international community and are constantly exposed to conflict.
It is a mosaic of human experiences that attempts at shifting the focus from big narratives to personal stories when dealing with conflict. The universal message of this project is that at the end of the day, even if we all have different backgrounds and unique experiences, we all share the same human emotions of fear, hope, and love.

Humans of EMIS was a fully student-run project, led by Jaime Musso (Italy/Germany, EMIS ’20) in his gap year at EMIS.
The documentary premiere was conducted in two sessions, one for an external audience and the other for the EMIS community. Both shows were followed by a panel discussion with the students that created the documentary.
The documentary is now available online and will be accompanied by shorter individual stories of the Humans.
